Kahelelani shells once adorned Hawaiian royalty, and they remain just as treasured today. Said to be named after a Niʻihau aliʻi, these gem-like shells are the smallest used in lei-making and are gathered by hand along the island’s shores. Ranging in color from dusty pink to deep purple, each shell carries a legacy of artistry, culture, and pride.
